Do You Dare to take on The MacGuffin Project?

The MacGuffin Project, dubbed ‘Bournemouth’s Darkest Attraction’ is coming to the town centre and they’re looking for hosts to join their fab team and help create unforgettable experiences for visitors.

Backed by five angel investors, this new but rapidly expanding company, built around creativity, excitement and fun, has future venues planned in Brighton and London in the next 18 months. We are looking for full time and part time hosts in our Bournemouth venue who can can grow with us and help deliver exceptional customer experience in an entirely new style of visitor attraction.

What is the MacGuffin Project?

Based loosely on the global phenomenon of ‘escape rooms’, teams of 2 to 6 people are immersed in a derelict 19th century steampunk carnival and have to work together as a team to solve puzzles and overcome challenges in a fully themed environment. With three different experiences to chose from, state of the art entertainment technology and award winning theming used throughout, this entirely new style of attraction gives visitors an interactive experience full of awe and wonder.

About the role

As a friendly and outgoing host with a passion for customer service, you will help to deliver unforgettable experiences in a fully immersive environment by taking visitors through The MacGuffin Project.


Greeting visitors
Host visitors through The MacGuffin Project experience
Monitor activities within the experiences via CCTV and guide visitors when needed
Proactively contribute to the The MacGuffin Project’s social media presence when required
Maintain and promote the companies mission and core values at all times
Sell merchandise to visitors
Ensure all public areas are maintained and kept in a clean and tidy manner throughout the day

About You

Above all else, we are looking for pro-active, ambitious, positive ‘go-getters’ who are ready for a challenge with a passion for customer experience.

Prior experience in the service or entertainment industry; including a visitor attraction, theme park, museum, hotel or theatre environment would be ideal. However, candidates who can demonstrate the below qualities will always be considered, regardless of experience.

Confident, fun, dynamic, and friendly personality

Self motivated and organised
Desire to work in fast-paced environments
Dependable and hardworking
Given the immersive elements of the attraction, an interest or experience in performance or drama would be advantageous.
